Right, so the bedrrom needs a major upgrade. hasn't been touched in a good 15 years.
The units and wardrobed pre-date moving there and white formica/vinyl clad chipboard is sooooo 1970's.......
1. Anyone know a decent bedroom fitter that does sliding wardrobes in the Manchester area? - Yellow pages has so far been a bit of a washout and before anyone suggests MFI, their sliding stuff looks and feels terrible.
2. Installing new flooring - the bamboo stuff from B & Q. Assume this will need adjustments to bottom of exisiting doors in order to fit due to thickness over currently laminate? What about skirting boards?
3. How about this for a proposed order of work:
- rip out old units
-strip walls and paintwork.
-relocate TV and power points - scary.
-repaint and paper
-flooring installation
-sliding wardrobe installation
-fit lcd to wall
Seems logical to me that the floor would need to be down before the wardrobes, but not sure.....
Most pressing subject is number 1 - a recommendation of a reputable supplier/fitter....any experiences?
