which phone conract??

i'm changing my pay-as-you-go,for a contract phone soon,so my question is which is the best cotract/network to go for??
i don't send many texts (two a week
)so don't really need millions of free texts,i would occasionally want to go on the interweb thingy(probably twice a year 
)but want a low tarrif for calls day+night due to my silly work hours
