What to do....

So as some people are aware I've started a new job today, and it's 19 miles each way from my house, meaning.....I have to get a diesel. Now I can get one cheap. B5 tdi saloon in dark/inky blue. Which means I could swap some parts over. But should I just sell the wagon and start afresh of what?? Advice needed please
