I'm looking at keeping a small handheld obd scanner in my cars glovebox (rather than a netbook/vagcom) combo as part of a toolkit because it would be useful for quick fault code reading
I've been looking at items similar to these, but I'm worried they won't have built in protection like vagcom and could screw up something in my car if I scan it
