Suspension advice.

Hi there I recently bought a 2005 highline Passat b5.5. I’m thinking about lowering it but not sure yet. I like low ride cars but I live in the countryside and the roads aren’t that great sometimes. I was just looking some advice on what people are running there cars on. I wouldn’t have the money for air suspension so that rules that out. And also I would like the comfort aspects to remain so what’s people views on coilovers and what types are best or lowering springs ?
