Help needed

hi there
not sure if any one can help but here goes.
I've recently purchased a 2010 (05 to 10)model Passat estate .Around 10 mile after collecting it the management light came on. I have 3 months warranty with it so I took it back. they said it was the Coolant pump B (code P261A) and they cleaned it and said it should be ok. I never made it home and the light came back on so I took it straight back and they have replaced the pump.
I didn't use it much for a week then today I took it about 20 mile and I noticed at certain times light grey smoke coming from exhaust. I pulled over and turned the engine off. I gave it 5 mins and turned it back on I gave it some revs but it would not rev over 2500. I drove it about 200yrds and the light came back on and it drove great all the way back home. I plugged in my fault finder and it came up with the same fault as before.
Any ideas anyone please
