Sleeping in the B5.5

Post by scott_higgy »

Ok, so I had to crash in the back of the wagon last week, so folded the seats down and happy days.

However when i got in the back and locked the doors with the key fob my alarm just went off because i was moving about.

So to stop that happening, i unlocked the doors, put the ignition on, locked the doors from the drives door button, then turned the ignition off and left the key in the barrel. This seemed to work. Climbed in the back and went to sleep. Sorted but didnt like the idea of the key been in the ignition on show et.

What i want to know is there a way i can lock the car without having to leave the key in the ignition and not set the alarm off????

TIA
