57 4Motion - Buying Advice

Hi all,
I'm about to buy a 57 plate 4 motion estate and was after any advice, pointers, warmings, etc etc to look out for when buying?!
I have a full copy of VAG-COM so can hook that up, but not everything shows up on there every time!!
Are there any things I need to know or should I avoid completely?!
All help/advice from you awesome peeps appreciated!
