VW SATNAV THEFTS

I had the satnav unit 'taken' from my Alltrack on Thursday eve in Bradford. The Police and bodyshop tell me VW satnav systems are being targeted by thieving toerags at the moment. Not sure if this is a local or national issue however thought I would pass on the info. The gang that took mine removed the unit very professionally, leaving no noticeable damage to the dashboard and even left the screws behind. Nothing else was taken. However smashing the drivers door window and climbing into the car is resulting in two door panel resprays, all window surround trim and seals need to be replaced, roof damage (yes, really) and the door card is scratched. I almost wish the car had been stolen and torched or written off.
