Park brake fault

I feel this may have already been covered.

I have the fault code 02432 - supply voltage for left parking motor (v282) electrical problem in circuit.

I got the code using a snap on modus scanner. I have tried replacing the switch on the dashboard, and also disconnecting the battery for around 25 mins no luck with either.

I have had the car up on a ramp and inspected the multi plug going to the motor and also the connectors on the plug, both of these seem to be in good conditon, is there likely to be a wiring issue somewhere down the wire and if i use a power probe on the wiring am i likely to cause any issues??

I am reluctant to pay 140 for a factor part at the moment as i have other more pressing issues to pay for, like my wedding, is there anything i can do to repair the one on the vehicle or is it a new unit required.

The constant beeping is driving me insane now.
