Hi guys. So quick question. I wanna change the glow plugs on my 2003 TDI PD130 (AWX I think) and have heard that if the originals in the car are ceramic ones, and your changing to metal ones you need to get an ecu reflash to bring down the voltage or you'll fry the new metal ones?.....
Can anyone shed any light on this as I really want to get this done asap.
Some people say they swap them over but don't connect the new ones and drive to the dealer for a reflash (guessing this costs £££?)
Guessing the only way to tell what's in there is to remove one? As the car has done 221k miles I assume they must have been done at some point before?
Glow plugs - reflash needed?
