Loan car help

Hi a lorry reversed in to me in a layby on Friday and has caved in the front of my b7 estate. It's in the hands of my insurers and a 64 plate insignia estate arrived this morning. I don't like it I cannot get comfortable at all but more worrying it does not seem to have an auto hold on the parking brake. If I take my foot off the brake and move off the car goes backwards for a second before I find the biting point. It is very disconcerting. Am I doing something wrong? I wondered if anyone with experience of a recent insignia could advise. It is a 140 Sri ecoflex.
