Oil Dipstick Cracked

Hey guys

Oil Dipstick on my 2013 car has very minor crack on it. Crack is just above max level on plastic bit. My main concern is that tomorrow I am setting off on 3k road trip and will be checking oil regularly so it might break and fall into sump.
This part probably won't be on shelf at vw and not sure if local breakers have one.
Question is, if dipstick breaks and falls in sump, will it cause any damage?
