Obviously strip and clean is proper for a coked up vnt turbo .
But some of us are not mechanically minded , scared , lazy or quite like the idea of inserting something by inches into a hole and squiting a corrosive substance
A chap on another VAG forum seems to be a mechanic with minions to boot and is head of his own imaginary environmental police force . And hates diesels with a passion .
So much so that he has influenced another forums rules so that any posts and threads talking about emission control tampering - egr disable /delete , decatting and dpf deletes / gutting , get shut down
Anyway he claims Mr Muscle shags the exhaust side turbo seals with rust because of Mr Muscle's caustic and water content . When the side seals fail a few litres of oil gets dumped into the exhaust system and the clean up takes many hours with many litres of TFR .
The turbo rebuilders report back that they also have
corrosion damage to the spindle consummate .
I'm open minded enough to see a point , and that he might be right , in the way that any newbie thinks that I take drugs because I condemn any 2.0 tdi 77mm oil pump drive and BXE engine .
But if it were the case every VAG forum would have a thread " Don't use Mr Muscle."
So the question is peeps , can you link a turbo seal failure to Mr Muscle ? ?
Mr Muscle and turbo seal failure ?
