Roof Box for 2010 Passat

Hi all,

New here and starting off with a query regarding the options for a roof box for the car. Last time I was on a car forum was for getting this car chipped and I had never even spotted this place.

First roof box, seems Thule are the beez kneez? anything to be aware of when buying a box? What are my options for fitting, please? ie Are bars universal? Less bothered about size of box for now, more querying what will/wont fit at this stage.
