B5.5 issues

Hi Guys
My AWX B5.5 has developed a problem, in the morning when accelerating up a long straight 70-80mph all power disappears as if the bost has been cut, I'll pull up stop the engine & restart & it's fin. No lights on dash or anything.

Then on the way home after 20-30 seconds the car shakes misses like mad then stalls, again stop engine & restart & fine for the rest of the 1/2 hour journey.

All the rest of the time the car runs fine, no smoke of rough running.

Some guys on facebook said injector loom but it happens at same time I'd expect the injector loom to be more random

any ideas would be appreciated thanks
