Sealant

Hi I do own a passat but have just bought a 1995 mk3 golf cl diesel to drive to work

The golf came with old school vw alloys, 15" and steels, I changed the wheels over to the steels and came to change the front drivers side/off side and found no lip where the jacking point is so when using the breakdown/tool kit jack the jack slipped away a few times and scraped off some sill sealant, exposing fresh metal. It's the stuff that's painted over on the outside face of the sill, frustrating is an understatement. Any one know what this sealant is as I want to cover up the scrapes especially having this happen this time of year.
