I keep hearing about people using VCDS or VAGCOM to find stored faults and codes.
I have a few questions and I am just wondering if I got this right and since a search brings up 100's of incidences;
If I purchase just the connector/USB I can then download the software to my PC (at a cost) and then use my PC as a fault code reader?
And can I delete stored faults if I fix them outside of a VW workshop?
I see there are differing degrees of subscription/equipment so is functionality dependent on the price you pay?
