I had my car mapped last weekend by a compnay up here in the north east and i got talking to him. Told him about the club and he offered a mapping day for us passat owners and any other VAGs that wanted to tag along. I asked him about doing it with major discounts and said it wouldnt be a problem and they could put food and drinks on depending on numbers booked in. He is really well priced for the maps and REALLLY knows his stuff.
Basically they read your ECU and check to see what is goin on with the car, how its running then they custom build a map to the car based on mileage, tolerances etc so no generic REVO stuff here
My car runs like a dream, its smooth powerfull and economical, its the best map i have ever had and its Celtic Tuning Maps and software they use and they have a fantastic reputation. I had my car rolling roaded after the map and its putting down 210hp from a 1.8 T on a 02 plate
