Insurance - NCB

Post by vim147 » Tue May 15, 2018 6:19 pm

Been searching around for insurance for my renewal and seems like Admiral has provided the cheapest quote this year.

I was with Tesco last year and they have sent me proof of NCB which states 9 years even though i have been driving on my own insurance for 17yrs.

If i put 15yrs + on Admiral then it comes in £40 cheaper then putting in 9yrs.

How many years should i put in ?
I can't remember which other insurance companies i have been with in the past as I've always gone with different insurers.

They also ask if i have been on a Speed Awareness Course, but that didn't make any difference to the price.

Ncb only goes up to 9years usually, but you will state that you hold licence for 15 years or whatever you hold it. These are two different things, years holding full licence and years collected no claim bonus collected.

And you must put in 9 years ncb, because that's the only proof you can get from previous insurer.
