VW Passat b3 1.8 gl. Is it worth saving?

Hi all, I have the chance to buy to restore a Passat b3 1.8 gl, it's £200. It's on a G plate, but register year comes up as 1990.
I can't tell if it's a 90bhp or a 110 or a whatever. It's 300 miles away from me and I want to make sure the journey to go look at it is worth it. I'm into classic VW's I've had many golf gti's. But I fancy something different this time.
Basically I know it's not high spec, it has windy Windows. But can anyone tell me will it have mfa? Or central locking? And how to check the bhp. I'm not into a 70 bhp slug because I'm just not. But if it's a 110 with some of the toys then I might do it. It has a full set of bottle top alloys? Are they special.
