Avon Tuning is a DPF Removal and ECU Remapping company based just outside Bristol in a small village called Tockington. Founded by Gareth Jones (BSc (Hons) Mechanical Engineering) in 2010, we pride ourselves on offering work of the highest quality with exceptional customer care.

Services we offer:

ECU Remapping
DSG Gearbox Remapping
DPF Removal
ERG Delete
Rolling Road

Diagnostics

Inlet Manifold Delete
Immobiliser Bypass
Diagnostics

We use genuine professional equipment such as VCDS and VAS and are soon to take delivery of the new VW ODIS system allowing us to carry out all main dealer type programming: key coding, software updates, module programming etc.

Rolling Road

After months of waiting we have recently installed our brand new Dynocom 5000 series Rolling Road, which is capable of supporting speeds of up to 175+ MPH and 5000+ ft lbs of torque.

ECU Remapping

We are a fully independent remapping company using genuine master equipment, this allows us to either produce our own maps in house or use some of the best tuners in Europe to produce maps for us. We also have authorised dealers located throughout the UK.

DPF Removal

As one of the first companies in the South West to offer DPF Removal, we have unmatched knowledge and experience in this area. We offer a lifetime warranty with our removal service and therefore you can be confident that you will never see that DPF light again.

We also have an in-house auto electrician specialising in:

Parking Sensors
ICE
Tow Bars
I pod Connectivity
Alarms

Hey guys,

I'm happy to offer all UKpassats members a 10% discount on all our products and services!

We are now fully up and running with our brand new Rolling Road, would be great to organise a Passat dyno day at some point in the future!

@ Cliff81 - Do you have an appointment with us this weekend?

Gareth did my B6 from 140 to 170 bhp a few months ago now. The difference in normal day to day driving is very noticeable, very smooth, pulls from lower revs. Overtaking is much improved faster and safer, the mileage is up as well, I'm into 770+ full to dry and 700+ from full (first click) to 70 miles left warning on the dash popping on. On top of this he's a nice guy and easy to deal with :-bd

Visited Avon Tuning today for my smoke test, I was met by Gareth who talked over what they had to do followed by an offer of tea/coffee and a warm waiting room :-bd . I was well impressed with the setup they have these guys obviously know there stuff with the two RS6's they were dealing with this morning so I knew I the car was in safe hands. The keys were handed to Richard (great chap too) to perform the smoke test I told him my issues (poor MPG and owl noise) all went well I have no leaks #:-s Richard then performed VCDS live actuals with no codes/bad sensors reading ect followed by full scan that also showed no codes.. Richard didn't give up tho he then had the car up on the lift and discovered my Cats making a horrible rattle and flexi joint is practically hanging on x_x at a guess I would say the cat must of collapsed judging by the noise from inside.

Would like to thank them for there time and professionalism they gave me (also the UKpassats 10% discount) and definitely will recommend them to friends and family! I will be getting the exhaust done next and definitely a revisit to Avon tuning for a remap and RR.

Anyone up for a group rolling road day? possibly in the new year, Gareth also had a BBQ sat there.. ;)
