Hi all
After sorting my wife’s B7 and getting on with life I thought I’d have a few months of ‘normal’ motoring!
Well my 2015 B8 GT 2.0l TDi saloon has started acting up around the fuel cap cover. When I go to lock the car it makes a clicking / whirring / buzzing noise for a second and then locks the cover. When I go to unlock the fuel cover with the normal key fob, it sometimes stays locked and sometimes opens after a few lock and unlock clicks. The clicking noise still sounds off though.
I sprayed some silicone spray into the small locking pin area and that seems to have helped allow the unlocking of the fuel cover, but the clicking noise still remains. I can feel a slightly expensive diagnostic / replacement coming from my friendly VW pals! Any thoughts anyone?
Much appreciated
Paul
