Spares for a long road trip

Hi,

I am planning a series of long road trips in Europe this year (4 to 6K miles), and feel I should have a small kit of spares with me. Are there any Passat-specific items that the forum thinks are useful?
- wipers
- bulbs (? most of the lights are LED now?)
- fuel filter - in case of dodgy diesel somewhere
- V-belt ?
- oil
- ODB tool ?

Looking at the service intervals, most service items like belts/filters seem to be unlikely to be needed.

I'd also carry some stuff like first aid, fire extinguisher, tyre inflator, tools.

On a related item, is there a way to change the LED headlights for driving on the left? I see reference to this in the user manual, but cannot see it in the menu system. Does this need and ODB tool to make a change?
