B8 Service Schedule

I have a 2018 B8 Passat GT 2.0 TSI.
I elected for the variable service schedule, so after 3.5 years and 37k miles its had two oil changes done by VW main dealer.
It’s asked for another oil change today.
I am tempted to take it to a reputable local garage and request full service, abandon the variable services and VW dealer stamps. I plan to keep the car until its 10 years old, so resale value is unlikely to be affected by whether i take it to VW which is always a hassle as its a trek from my house.
Does anyone have details of the what VW would be checking/changing at 40k miles/4 years? VW don’t seem to publish this information, which seems pretty bad form.
