Cooling fans running

Hi guys , have just arrived home after my usual drive from work to find my 2.0dsg Reving higher than normal at Rickover and the coolant fans running , the temp doesn’t seam to be higher than it normally is, first time it’s done it since I’ve had it 3 weeks ago any advise please
