Engine Compartment

Does anybody have a B8 Passat where the engine area and underside of the bonnet are not painted in the cars colour?
I went to view a 2018 VW Passat 2.0 TDI 150 GT estate in Atlantic Blue yesterday.
The car is being offered at a very good price with delivery miles. On inspection I lifted the bonnet, to my surprise the inside of the engine bay and under the bonnet were not painted in Atlantic Blue. The whole of the engine bay, just under the inside of the front wings and bonnet were finished in what looks like a prima colour. I am having second thoughts about the car now but was wondering if this is normal practice on all VW cars now.
