Engine noise

Hi I have just bought a 66 plate passat cc 184 hp black edition with a dsg gearbox, sometimes there is a metallic sound audible at tickover it doesnt sound like tappets, car drives fine, have had 3 passats before none of them sounded like this 1 anybody else heard of this.
