Active Info Display

Evening
This is my first post but hoping someone can offer some advice. I have a B8 Passat Rline 190 bought new in Nov 2015. At the time the Active Info Display was not available but appears to be standard on the new Rline models.
Does anyone know if it can be retro fitted. I can see them available on eBay for example and a couple of other sites. Wouldn't plan on doing the work myself but just exploring readability at the moment.
