Oil sensor workshop!

I've encountered this twice now in the last few weeks, for a moment dash chimes with the dreaded oil sensor workshop message, then clears within an instant.
it's a 65 plate with 40k on the odometer. Do these suffer with the previous generations oil pump hex shaft issue? Plus it does seem to want filling up a couple of times with oil between services, over a litre, old b6 was half a litreish, 2010 scirocco and 2013 cc no top ups required, I know different engines etc but surely this is a backwards step (same annual mileage).

Any way I digress, anyone else have this pop up on the odd occasion of is it a sign of bad things to come?
