Loss of power..

I really don't like to be the first one starting with this kind of posts but here, it just happened today.
Car would not get past 2000 RPM even with pedal to the metal, could not get more than 100 km/h on these RPM's.
I was hoping it is just an ilusion, i only have 11200 km done until now and no problems at all.
Pulled over and stopped the engine, turned off the ignition, started again and everything was back to normal, power back on. There was no warning light or anything at all lighting up, no messages, no nothing.
Continued trip straight to the dealer and after diagnostics i was told that needs a software upgrade and it will be fine. One hour later car was " serviced packed" and this should be it.
I don't have details on what exactly needed patching but there must be a service buletin out there.
My engine is 2.0 tdi 150BHP
Drop into your dealers and ask about this "upgrade" before you experience it.

A typical have you tried restarting it " IT Crowd" moment.
I am due the first service soon so i will find out what other "upgrades" are due.
