Three week old B8 Business SE. My wife operated the inside door lever to get out of the car and nothing happened so she was trapped until I went round to the door and used the outside handle - very annoying to say the least! (and don't bother with the jokes!)
There was no resistance when the lever was operated so I assume that the linkage inside the door has either detached or broken. On reflection we'd noticed that the lever was making strange clicking noises previously.
The dealer promptly took the car into their workshop but haven't yet stripped the door down as they've ordered parts in case of need.
Hopefully this was just a one off but beware of odd noises from the door opening mechanism.
