9IM7 Recall

Posted about this in the Infotainment thread but thought would ask more widely... Just had 10K service on my B8 190 TDI and had to have a software upgrade which, according to the paperwork from the dealer, was called 9IM7.

Anyone know what this update does, fixes, improves? All dealer would say is that it's software upgrade. took over 2 hours though and was done by a different technician to that that completed the service.

Not concerned as realise there will be these type of upgrades ongoing but the dealer did make a deal out of saying it was covered by warranty !

Any insight from those more expert than me (which is all!!) would be great.
