Superglue On Dashboard

Post by mattbarber »

Hi all,

I have an area about the size of a 10p on my dashboard which I think is superglue. It's just at the bottom of the windscreen in between the glass and what I think is some sort of sensor (in the middle). Perhaps the previous owner had glued some sort of sat nav holder there or something.
I think I heard ages ago that this is a sun sensor ?

I have tried everything, lighter fuel, nail varnish remover, a tiny bit of thinners etc, but nothing even touches it. It's not the end of the world, but as I know it's there, I keep looking at it !! It feels flat to the touch, but has a sort of glossy finish and is proving difficult to shift.

Any ideas ?
