Absolutely clueless!
I'm off to the VW festival in a few weeks so need to get the car looking good. When I bought it I thought it looked immaculate for its age. A month or two and several washes later I noticed all the scratches. The guy I bought it off was in trade sales so had done a good job getting it looking good. The other week I gave it a quick once over with some Triplewax metallic "easy shine car wax" I had lying around. Obviously I know sweet F A about these things and thought that would cover up all the scratches. It looked good at first but after a week the bonnet was covered in little white spots. This must be where the polish has dried in all the little marks left by stonechips. Can anyone recommend a good wax or give me any tips on how to prevent this? ![Mr. Green ](./images/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif)

Because it makes no attempt to be great... it is therefore extremely great
