Advice on metallic black Passat

Post by 802330268 »

Hi Guys
I've just purchased a metallic black Passat Sport which is about to get it's first detailing and I would like some advise.

The first thing it needs is claying as the paint surface although looking good feels like sandpaper.

I was then going to us Meguiars crystal step 1 and step 2 to clean and condition the paint.

What would you recommend as the next steps?

I've been recommended to use Meguiars NXT tech wax 2 topped up with detailing spray in between waxes.

I've considered using Autoglym High definition wax after the 1 & 2 step Meguiars but I am open to your suggestions.

I would like a deep lasting shine that would require minimal rewax applications.

By the way I do not have the luxury of a garage so the Passat has to sit outside in all weathers.
