Badge Removal

Post by johnDUB »

Ok, it's easy, honest.

Requirements:-
Hairdryer.
Meths and a cloth.
Roll of sowing cotton.

Method:

Warm the bodywork and badge area up with the hairdryer. When you can make the badges move slighty with your fingers, roll out a length of cotton about a foot long. Wrap around the badge with the cotton, and make like a sawing action. Don't put too much pressure on as you'll break the cotton. Work around the badge, and then it'll drop off.
Repeat for all other badges.

To clean off the sticky what is left.. dab the sticky with a cloth soaked in methylated spirit. This will soften the sticky and then you can carefully remove the residue etc. Once done, clean again the surface and your done.

Standback and notice you have the letters still on the paint. This is just because you've not polished under them.
Clean up with Megs Scratch X, or Autoglym paint renovator.
Standback and again admire your handywork.
