How do I clean a "valleted" car

I've just bought another car, but the previous owner has had it valleted by a pro, ahem.

In order to start cleaning it properly, what products would people recommend for getting all the poo smeary gooey stuff off that these so called pro's like to cover every thing in?

Inside is not too bad, but I want to get the paint and trim back to basics so that I can start detailling it back up to how it should be.
