Removing silicone from dash

Post by V6_4M »

Hi guys, first post. Picking up my B5 V6 4 Motion later this week, cannot wait, got rid of my 1.8T many years ago and really missed it. Anyway, to the point. When I went to look at it the guy had obvioulsly cleaned it all up so it looked nice, but had also covered the dash in the shiny silicone stuff which I really hate. Is there an easy way to remove it or is it best just to put up with it and let it maybe wear off on its own?

"Come forth and ye shall receive the Kingdom of Heaven."
but Peter came fifth and won a toaster
