New seat or what??

I'm very close to buying 2005 passat, only 64000miles but I think there may have been a lot of getting in and out of the car or he was a very large person,as there are holes worn in the drivers seat as you get in and also on the backrest as you get in, its the grey velour stuff, what would be the best way to put it right, a new seat, which I would imagine be quite expensive, or can anyone suggest another way? thnx
