Lumpy idle on mk4 golf 1.6s

Hi all as heading says very lumpy idle on a1.6 azd engine epc light on dash and eml car will sometimes not rev plugged in a code reader and it came back PO170 fuel trim bank 1 anyone have any idea what's wrong this is starting to drive me nuts
