2010 1.2 polo.

Hi all, my wife has a 1.2 polo which is making a funny noise intermittently on start up. My question is does this engine have a camshaft de phaser? I ask this because the noise is very similar to a noise which her old Renault scenic used to make which was the camshaft de phaser. Any help is much appreciated.
