Shopping for a Bora

Post by golddust »

I need to buy a 2nd car for the other half to drive.
I'm thinking a Bora would be a good buy as we've not got a large budget (about £4k) and it seems you get a lot more car on a Bora for that money than other models.

I've seen 52 reg Bora SE TDI with 6 speed box and under 70k miles for £3995.

The equivalent golf is either much higher miles and lower spec or £1k more expensive.

Anyway, what can people tell me about the Bora? Good/Bad? What to watch out for etc?

Incidentally before you all suggest getting her a Passat, since we've already got a passat in the household we don't need 2 of em!

You only need two tools: WD-40 and Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.
