1998 Audi a4 1.9 Tdi quattro daily

Post by adamss24 »

Just bought a very, very tidy b5 estate audi a4, 1.9 tdi quattro, AFN 110 Bhp engine, climate, 1 owner from new, full service history, folder full of receipts, etc. Has some running issues- did not go into much detail as it's still on the back of my trailer but i suspect it had a messed up timing belt which resulted in a dropped valve or blown lifter- going by the owner's explanation- still starts but it's a little rough.
Going to keep this as a daily runabout so it needs to be reliable yet it will be silly fast -for a diesel ! I still have the AHH 90 Bhp engine which i tuned to over 200 Bhp so that will go in to it along with a Southbend rs4 clutch and single mass flywheel, 6 speed gearbox and v6 tdi running gear, rs4 rear diff, short shifter, new propshaft and much more.
It will get the full s4 bodykit off my other v6 tdi + alloy uprights up fronts and big brakes. Expected power will be around 230-250 Bhp.
Suspension mods: full Eibach Pro springs on rs4 genuine dampers, H&R antiroll bars front + rear, rs2 solid drop links, full Lemforder suspension arms, short steering rack + s4 track rod ends, etc.
I have new genuine HID headlights on another b5 saloon which i am breaking for spares so i'll get them fitted as soon as i get some time or i might just fit a set of aftermarket HID lights into facelift headlamps. Interior wise i am still thinking what to do as I have a full leather sports interior off my b5 v6 tdi estate, i have a full 1.8TQS half leather interior and also the original seats in this are immaculate ! Inside it will get a genuine double DIN cage and new, facelift buttons + a full Bose sound system.
It will ride on either ABT a26 18"x8.5" split rim alloys or ronal Bolero's alloys (aka fat5)...
