i got a set of ap coilovers from venom, progressive wound main spring rather than a main and helper spring desing - so rides better! They cost me £316 delivered and took me about 3.5hrs to fit, atm i have it lowered to within 5-10mm of the arch all round with 15mm more travel on the threads out bac...

with 235 tyres on they're considerably wider than the tyres on the old wheels meaning more friction making the car harder to move. Think about a racing bike, they have tiny skinny tyres and a mountain bike has big fat ones. yep, i found this when i went from a standard skinny 15" wheels to a 8...

if its anything like a 2.0 8v or 2.9 12v engine the maf sits just behind the airbox or induction point, there should be a terminal plug on the side of it, unplug that and your away, to remove it, you have to do the same but release any clips holding it to the intake tract and remoove the airbox/indu...

i'm pretty sure i'm safe and hell would have to freeze over cos she likes her small nippy cars and the lupo will be perfect... and after the unreliabiity of the vauxhaul it'll hopefully make her more keen to changerod the cod wrote:she might try and give you the lupo and keep the passat.

that sucks mate, post a piccy of them and any specs and blemishes of the wheels and tires and spread across as many forums as possible, they may crop upon ed or club gti etc or ebay, at least then if people see them they can let you know!

Hey fellas, i know its not a passat but a bloke at work wants to take his headunit (with double din vw sat nav type) out to fit an ipod cable to the back, it appears to have 4 horizontal slots at the corners, i presume for the release keys, are these easy to get hold of?

I really like the first rims but agree they're to sporty really for the lazy passat shape... they're almost identical to the wheels on the new Aston V12 Vantage, and thats cool! 8)
