Anyone who's decent enough with a arch roller would be able to do them while they're on the car without cracking the paint....having said that, while they're off the car you could have them properly rolled flat before paint and then not have to go through the worry

It's a disgrace that its rusting at all tbh mate. Vw are really getting a rep for poor paint on their newer models. Not good enough really imo
