Ive just bought the same headunit. How did you connect your steering controls? The headunit has 4 wires yet the steering wheel has only 3.
Did you also get the 2 to 1 adapter for the ariel? As I need to get one as well

Re: B6... Saved
Might need to buy another cable, mines a third party cable which allows e to see fault codes. But doesn't run with Ross tech 11.11 version unfortunately.
Thanks for the help

Re: B6... Saved
Got word today that I can claim mileage instead of company car so looks like the b6 is staying. Just ordered some original fogs to replace the DRL's and now to set about choosing wheels and head unit.
Anyone got vag com near Mansfield? I have the cable but no software.

I've just fitted coil overs today to my 08 2.0 tdi estate and they where 55mm, turn your front wheels to full lock and measure the strut.

Re: Highline mfd adjusting convenience settings
Let me know as soon as you do, I wasted an hour of my life the other day looking for that option as my wife has it on her golf. I've read forums of people doing it but no explaining 'how to'

How'd you do your tail lights? Is it something I could attempt with a vagcom cable or did you take it somewhere?

Re: Photos of my B6... working progress
Sorry to say that the DRL's have grown on me, I ran into the house to get something and on my way out saw the front lit up with the HID's, sidelights and DRL's (insert borat voice) it was nice.
Just ordered some 19" rs6 alloys so will upload more pics once fitted and lowered more.

Re: Photos of my B6... working progress
To be honest the length of time it took me to file and fit them and I'm not sold on them myself. Before the months out I can see myself buying the standard fogs for it.
Looking forward to 19" as well but hit a small delay. Sigh.
Still fitting the coil overs tomorrow should be fun

Re: vw parts desk
My local Vw garage is in Mansfield and after buying the missus a new golf I ended up having to report them to head office. The parts and service people there are an absolute waste of time. So avoid if you can. On the other hand Nottinghams main dealer is brilliant

Rokkor coilovers.. What's your verdict?
Ive just managed to haggle a set of coilovers off a guy on eBay. Brand new with 2 years warranty for £150. Brilliant price but now worried about the old sayings. "you get what you pay for" and "buy cheap, buy twice" Fingers crossed and then I can get some photos posted up as I'v...

I wish I could get up to 48mpg. I do about 50 motorway miles a day and drive normal pretty much most of the time and I'm only getting 42mpg from my 140 passat estate
