It won't happen that suddenly, it will get noticeably louder before it fails.

Re: Well it's pouring instead of raining... Gearbox!

If you are happy to accept little bit of rattling, sometimes flywheel can last like that for few more years. Just keep an eye on it, see how badly it will or will not progress. It must be at early stages if you haven't noticed it before.

Re: Well it's pouring instead of raining... Gearbox!

Plus with single mass flywheel all vibrations from engine are directly transferred to gearbox, which again reduces gearbox lifespan.
After single mass flywheel conversation and lot people reported immediate gearbox rattling in neutral and clutch released.

This engine is Euro 5B CRKB, it's quite rare and tracking down one is not easy. I'm seeing the poor service levels in the motor indUstry iup close. Could be multiple things, clutch release bearing, gearbox itself. If clutch plate has issues usually will show up as slipping clutch.

So! Finally added Full Screen clocks. Only a small detail which doesn’t really offer much over the half screen but it’s a nice detail I think. And my half screen was going very sim around the edges. All coded into the immobiliser and eeprom coding modified to have needle sweep, Permanent backlighti...

Re: OK, can I ask the hive mind something please...

Blown head gasket 99%. In short words, compression getting pushed into cooling system, that's causing airlock usually in heater core hoses, because they are highest point in cooling system, airlock stops coolant flow, that's why you get no heat coming from blower. Should have quite hard coolant hose...

Re: How do I disable H/L levelling?

Most likely you some how will need to get to the bottom of this problem. Because if auto headlight levelling is fitted from factory, it must work on MOT test, otherwise it's a test failure. Good luck with getting it sorted.

Calm down... So you know there will be no errors? I will do a scan. I can try disconnecting both headlights but would rather fix than fudge. More effort for both lights than sensor? Bloody hell, why you keep disconnecting sensors, but don't disconnect actual hight leveling motors in headlights? It will stop self leveling for sure.

Or get it fault scanned, might be it will show where's the problem.

International shortage of ECU. Getting broken too often, supplier can't manage to produce them. Just joking

Hopefully it's a week's questions to get it supplied from Germany, if no branches have it in UK.

I replaced one a few years ago, took the old one apart and cleaned up the contacts, refitted and took the replacement one back. Simples. All it is is copper contacts that get furred up over time.
Dirty contacts shouldn't turn brake lights on randomly thought.
