Re: My B6 wagon - Air ride... Done!

It is mate, you can't see it in those pics though as the bracket bit is on the inside from the angle I took the pic.

Thanks anyway though.

Re: My B6 wagon - Air ride... Done!

When they're polished and the tyres are on :hyst :hyst :hyst

They're getting there slowly... All four are stripped, one is fully flatted ready for polishing and I'm half way through flatting the second wheel. Will be slow going but I'm hoping it'll be worth it.

Re: My B6 wagon - Air ride... Done!

Thought I'd add a few proper pics from when we were fitting the rears. We weren't happy with rayverns suggestion of cutting out the lower dimple that was used to locate the spring. Admittedly he included a plate to weld over but it still would of meant removing a flanged hole from a suspension compo...

Re: My B6 wagon - Air ride... Done!

Thanks guys

Really appreciate all the feedback. Going to have to get a chassis notch done at some point though as it currently doesn't sit level at the front when fully aired out.

Hopefully get the pictures sorted over the weekend and have some progress on the wheels :D

The one on schmidts is pretty awesome and stanced really well, the bottom one has some horrid reverse rake going on but a nice collection of parts... All the gear and no idea maybe.

Big fan of your b5 mate as you know :-bd

Re: 2011 look

Really liking the new look. Audio install looks really good. I am rather jealous of your s6 seats!

IMHO the holstens look good but can't help thinking on a car with soo many special touches/mods that a finish other than standard silver is deserved.

Re: B6 Styling?

There is alot available for b6s but you have to do some digging To find them... Vw parts hold the set side skirts/front lips IMO from votex (as on my b6) and the r-line kit looks smart too (look at indywindys thread). Grilles are plentiful from fk, Jom etc. Personally I think you have to be careful ...

Wheels are now fully stripped... A mate is trying to sort some polishing discs out for me but until then it's going to be slow going working through the various grades of wet and dry that I have.

Re: My B6 wagon - Air ride here we are...ish!

Thanks Craig. Just done a quick trial fit of the front wheel. Bearing in mind the wheel will sit a bit further into the arch due to the tyre things are hopeful lol. Once the refurbs done and tyres are on I'll possibly look at running some small spacers to get it sitting where I want. http://i1127.ph...

Re: Safe or not?

As said I would personally not stack spacers or spacers and adaptors.

There's enough places now that will make you spacers or adaptors to your measurements... Or at least the nearest millimetre. Or failing that you buy them slightly too thick and have them machined down.

Thanks... I think. Lol.

Got a couple of days off work so today i've made a start on stripping the powder coat from the wheels... Thus far one is fully stripped, other front is 90% there and the two rears are 50% done.

Hopefully have them finished tomorrow morning.

Re: My B6 wagon - Air ride here we are...ish!

It's possible on 19s just got to see how offsets and widths work out!

This car was a big influence in getting the 19s although due to the rear arch line I think I might of left the back up a touch.
