Good work chap, it's exactly what I will be doing sometime in the New Yearish. You could have fixed your air con whilst the front was off haha Sent from my SM-G770F using Tapatalk Can’t do the aircon yet bud, some changes coming in the new year that would make it a waste of money charging it [emoji...

Well, I’m glad that’s done. Following my post about my engine whining, spent this afternoon doing the timing belt, Waterpump, coolant and cam seal. [emoji108] Job jobbed. Long may it live. Good news is my cam still looks new [emoji108]. (Should think so as it’s only done 14k miles) [emoji23] Not wha...

Re: Headlights are rubbish
I’m now on Novsight 25w LEDs in mine and they’re about as bright as the Factory HID’s in my B5, which are very good even at 23yo. Strangely, nothing I’ve driven touches the brightness of the Halogens in my Jeep. Oldschool square glass headlights, with a direct feed harness and Basic Ring H4 bulbs (£...

Well, being a B5 something had to give in the middle of winter, had to use it as a generator to try and charge/start my very very flat Jeep on Sunday (Didn’t turn interior lights off a week before) Needed to start it to get some voltage on to get my charger to see the battery [emoji2357] Jacket jamm...

Well it looks like my DMF is failing so will be fitting a new one very soon. I know you mentioned you used a bar to lock the flywheel so you can get the 6 bolts undone, is there a locking tool of this job? I have found one that fits in the inspection hole to lock the wheel, but not sure if this is ...

So! Finally added Full Screen clocks. Only a small detail which doesn’t really offer much over the half screen but it’s a nice detail I think. And my half screen was going very sim around the edges. All coded into the immobiliser and eeprom coding modified to have needle sweep, Permanent backlightin...

They are on a common harness so it would disable both mate. Only thin you can do is unplug it underneath.

Re: Brake lights came on.....overnight
Likely culprit is your brake light switch failing. I’ve seen this a couple of times where they fall apart and either stay on or don’t work at all. The brake lights aren’t isolated by the ignition switch and are live permanently. The hard pedal will be because the vacuum as leaked out of your servo w...

Re: fitting audi a4/a6 eibach springs to passat b5.5?
Why not to get proper b5.5 Passat springs? Remember they are all different between various engines and saloon and estate. Taking springs from different car even if they fit in place, still might cause car sitting too high or too low due to different weights on axles. Better get in touch with suppli...

Well, did a thing yesterday. MoT due next week so typically something had to break. Side repeaters. Purists like Colin will hate this, and I’m not completely sold myself yet. But they were cheap and I like how the black ties in with the black trim which is much better than the silver. So I’ve stuck ...

I have proper tools for doing it [emoji6] Including a pilot puller and several trans jacks at my disposal. Hehe. Where abouts are you? The key is take your time and don’t expect it to be a quick job.
